All aligners are equal - some are more equal than others …
This is not a theoretical comparison—but hard, often painful reality. The use of different aligner systems in the same dental practice poses special challenges for doctors and teams, but also allows a unique comparison of the advantages and disadvantages—directly from the practice, i.e. from real life. The range of aligner systems on offer has diversified very widely in recent years. Several large suppliers are currently on the market in different qualities. Advances in software and 3D printing enable aligner production in one's own laboratory.
Where does the future lie? Which software is best? Is in-house production economically feasible at all? How do the systems prove their worth in everyday life? What do the patients say? What do the personnel say? What does the orthodontist say?
